Thank you for taking us along on this exploration and sharing all the wonderful art. It’s strange to think of what will come of my papers and books and things when I’m gone. My kids and husband aren’t as sentimental about things as I am

Yeah - and each of us finds connection with different things. I think the distance and not knowing and stories we can add our flourishes too makes this espeically thrilling!

Obsessed with the drawing findings! What amazing images. Just a thought and could be wildly wrong but perhaps if they were done in a mental health environment that they could be art therapy? At the end of art therapy work is usually put into an envelope or folder for the person to take with them should they wish.

I think this is the case! These big newsprint pieces were too big for an envelope and saved elsewhere!

I was exuberant with !!! but yes:) They were in the attic with other art. But there ARE envelopes with drawings in them from the prison - i cannot wait to go back and learn more:)

ME TOO!

I think it is absolutely possible. I don't know if the mental health facility and prison were together or separate. We have a lot to uncover. That is interesting about the envelope and folder to take home. There was another piece of art or two that looked like a different hand. (It wasn't as intriguing for me, but I'll share when I photograph all of the work!)

I wonder if David brought envelopes home of work he thought was special or something...
